An ACB (Air Circuit Breaker) Panel is an electrical distribution panel that houses Air Circuit Breakers (ACBs) used to protect electrical circuits from overcurrent, short circuits, and other electrical faults. ACB panels are commonly used in industrial, commercial, and large residential buildings to manage and distribute high-voltage electrical power safely and efficiently.

  • Air Circuit Breakers (ACBs):

    • Description: ACBs are protective devices that use air as the arc extinguishing medium. They automatically disconnect a circuit when they detect a fault such as an overload or short circuit, preventing damage to the electrical system and reducing the risk of fire.
    • Operation: When a fault occurs, the ACB trips, breaking the circuit and stopping the flow of electricity. The ACB can be reset manually after the fault is cleared.
  • Main Incoming Breaker:

    • Description: The primary ACB that controls the main incoming power to the panel. It serves as the first point of protection and isolation for the entire electrical distribution system.
